UNITED NATIONS, June 11: The Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah Hussain Haroon on Wednesday met Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and conveyed the condolences of the government and people of Pakistan over the death of two UN officials in a terrorist attack against a hotel in Peshawar.
The ambassador expressed grief over the demise of Aleksander Vorkapic, a UNHCR staff member and Ms. Perseveranda So, a UNICEF employee, in the bomb blast.
Acknowledging the services rendered by the UN agencies in Pakistan, Haroon paid rich tributes to the U.N. officials, who lost their lives, for their meritorious services to the people of Pakistan.
