Mr. President,

This is in response to the remarks by the distinguished representative of India

Disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir is established by the UN Security Council resolution and agreed by both Pakistan and India. Characterization of Jammu and Kashmir, or any part of its territory as part of India, is therefore, untenable. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have yet to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination

Thank you
