Dismissing unnecessary speculation, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said that recent press items pertaining to Pakistan’s nuclear programme, do not deserve a serious comment as they fit a familiar pattern of motivated campaigns which surface from time to time. As a responsible nuclear weapon state, Pakistan is mindful of its responsibilities both in the context of regional stability and of an equitable and non discriminatory approach to achieve the goals of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
